Anchoring the Silver Plaza of the urban renaissance of downtown Silver Spring, Lebanese Taverna Café is centrally located to the retail stores, the Majestic Theatres and the AFI Silver Theatre. Discovery Communications World Headquarters is also directly behind the cafe.

The décor and accents in coastal blue and warm sandy tones, fans descending from the 23 foot ceiling, and Middle Eastern music playing in the background, this 90-seat café captures the allure of the Mediterranean. In keeping with the Historic Preservation's request, a curved stoned wall, once part of the first strip plaza in the United States, has been transformed into a banquette overlooking the plaza's courtyard.

Proceed North on 16th street towards Maryland. Merge right onto Alaska Avenue immediately after Walter Reed Army Medical Center.Turn left onto Georgia Avenue (MD-97 N). Proceed North on Georgia Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles. Downtown Silver Spring is on the right of Georgia Avenue between Wayne Avenue and Colesville Road.

From the Beltway (I-495)
Take Georgia Avenue (MD-97 S) exit (Exit 31B S) towards Silver Spring. Proceed South on Georgia Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles. Downtown Silver Spring is on the left between Colesville Road (MD-29) and Wayne Avenue.

Downtown Silver Spring offers plenty of parking. The public garages offer free parking on weekends and metered rates of 50˘ per hour weekdays.
